The WHY of Overstacking
All we know we have stack limit in Fleet design
Do we ever wonder why we overstack since the limit is there?
Main Reason:
1. Non combatant fleet
Mostly cargo, no reason require and a bit out of topic
2. For the raw HP
Although active module did not work in overstack
Passive HP aka Raw HP (shield, armor and hull) is actually working
And raw hp is the toughest to deal with in GO
Quote:
a passive armor increase 400 hp per slot, a weapon go for 350 attack per slot max, and active defensive is just 130 (EOS, Hp + Resist; Energetic is only 40 resist) per slot; If we talk about defend....raw hp is still the best
Even you talk about missile that ignore shield and armor, it was still a module that add 190 to hull remain the best (it work as 4~5 turn of energetic with no supply used)
Reminder: this is not a comparison among weapon and Defend module; i am comparing between defend module
3. To ensure we have full fire power even some of the ships is down...If we have max 1000 per stack, and we put only 1000 ships...after several turn (if they survive), you no longer have the require ships to maximize the attack potential
4. To gain maximum advantage on the hull stability
We know that how high the stability are...they are useless when the hp reach 0...
With overstack...it reach zero way slower....
I think you got the point?
5. To compesate the supply shortage problem
If your ships' design require depot (a weak spot) to support (due to less of storage), you can remove the depot by simply overstacking....status = last 1 turn in the fleet formation screen? overstack it 2 time and it will last you more than 2 turns
Best Hull for overstacking?
1. Dark Dragon
500% stability say it all
2. Abyss
High Raw Hp (at a high cost)
